The Durg (Chhattisgarh) District Central Cooperative Bank’s former Chairman Preetpal Belchandan has been expelled from the membership of his organization namely Sewa Sahakari Samiti Maryadit, Tirga, say media reports.
Belcandan has been expelled after a probe revealed his involvement in financial irregularities during his tenure as the Chairman in Durg DCCB. The Joint Registrar of cooperative societies acted against him.
Besides, his society has also been terminated from shareholder membership.
The change of guard in Chhattisgarh has spelled bad luck for the well-known cooperator Belchandan who is from the BJP. He is also associated with Sahakar Bharati.
