In a significant step towards strengthening the cooperative dairy sector, Assam Rifles and the National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India (NCDFI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The agreement was signed in the presence of Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, Director General of Assam Rifles, senior officials of the force, and Dr. Meenesh Shah, Chairman of National Cooperative Dairy Federation of India Ltd.
The partnership seeks to strengthen dairy cooperatives, create enhanced market opportunities for dairy farmers, particularly in the Northeastern region, and ensure the availability of quality dairy products across Assam Rifles establishments.
The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ commitment to socio-economic development, rural empowerment and cooperative growth. It also aligns with the broader vision of “Empower the Farmers” by leveraging the cooperative model to create stronger and more resilient rural livelihoods.
