Amul Vice Chairman requests PM to ban PETA

Amul Vice Chairman Valamji Humbal has called upon Prime Minister Narendra Modi to ban PETA which has suggested recently that Amul should produce vegan milk and food, aiming to endanger the livelihood of 10 crore people through the Indian dairy sector.

Humbal said the Dairy sector is an important contributor to the GDP of India but the GDP can be compromised by misinformation spread by the NGO, a press release issued by Amul informed.

According to Humbal, since livestock is considered invaluable in Indian culture, being cruel to them is just unimaginable.

Amul”s vice chairman added that the NGO’s attempt to destroy the country’s dairy sector seems inspired by foreign business interests. However, the NGO has defended itself saying it only represents the general public’s concern for animals.
