Amul will invest around Rs 200 crore to set up a modern dairy processing and production facility at Fatuha in Bihar, a move expected to strengthen the state’s dairy sector and benefit milk producers and farmers.
Officials said the project will improve market access for dairy farmers, encourage higher milk production and support the rural economy through better price realisation. The proposed unit is also expected to generate over 200 direct jobs along with significant indirect employment in transport, packaging and supply-chain activities.
The Bihar government described the investment as a sign of growing investor confidence in the state. Meanwhile, Amul’s brand turnover crossed Rs 1 lakh crore during FY26, reinforcing its position as India’s largest FMCG organisation.
