The Amreli Farmer Producer and Processing Cooperative Society Limited organised a farmers’ meeting at Vankiya village as part of a series of grassroots outreach programmes aimed at strengthening engagement with farmers.
The meeting was inaugurated by lighting the traditional lamp and was organised under the initiative of Manish Sanghani, Chairman of the Amreli District Cooperative Union. The programme brought together farmers and representatives of the cooperative sector, providing a platform to discuss issues concerning agriculture, farmer welfare and cooperative development.
The initiative reflects efforts to strengthen the connection between farmers and cooperative institutions at the grassroots level and encourage greater participation in collective agricultural and processing activities.
Several members of Team Sahkar Amreli attended the meeting, including Jayantibhai Pansuriya, Dipakbhai Malani, Ghanshyambhai Trapasiya, Labhubhai Akbari and Amitbhai Radadiya. Other dignitaries and representatives associated with the cooperative movement were also present.
The farmers’ meeting is part of a wider series being conducted in villages across the region to promote interaction with farmers and strengthen the cooperative ecosystem.
The programme also underlines the growing focus on farmer producer organisations and cooperative institutions as platforms for improving farmers’ participation in value addition and agricultural processing.
By taking such meetings to the village level, the Amreli cooperative sector is seeking to build closer links with farmers and create greater awareness about collective approaches to agricultural development.
