Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah hailed the success of Amul as a shining example of the transformative power of the cooperative movement, saying it reflects the hard work and dedication of 36 lakh women who have turned cooperation into a powerful engine of prosperity.
Speaking at the launch of the world’s largest curd plant, Shah said the remarkable growth of Amul stands as a testament to the contribution of women dairy cooperative members, whose collective efforts have strengthened rural livelihoods and India’s dairy sector.
He reiterated that the cooperative model continues to empower millions of women, generate sustainable incomes and drive inclusive economic development, further advancing the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” through people’s participation and collective enterprise.
