The directors of Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd. (KSSFCL), Bengaluru, embarked on a study tour of European countries from April 15 to April 29, 2025. Beginning their journey in London, they visited key landmarks including the Swaminarayan Temple, the Tower of London, the Basaveshwara statue, and Madame Tussauds.
Their itinerary also included Paris, where they explored Ambedkar House, and extended across seven countries, including Italy. Throughout the tour, the delegation was impressed by the developed infrastructure, modern technology, and civic discipline observed across Europe.
They noted the high levels of time management, national pride, and commitment to public service, particularly the respect for work regardless of status, which left a strong impression.
Key highlights included visits to cooperative institutions such as a super cooperative market, cooperative banks in London and Paris, and a consumer cooperative federation in Italy. These visits showcased a deep-rooted commitment to cooperative principles, where members and employees were both highly dedicated and customer-focused. Unlike in India, dividends were replaced by a range of service-based rewards, reflecting a mature cooperative culture driven by mutual benefit and loyalty.
KSSFCL extends gratitude to Dr. Yashwanth Dongre and international cooperative leaders who facilitated the tour, helping the team gain valuable insights into sustainable development and global cooperative practices.
