At the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Amul Managing Director Jayen Mehta highlighted India’s remarkable position as the world’s largest milk producer, emphasizing that the nation is poised to contribute one-third of the global milk supply in the next decade.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event hosted by the state government of Gujarat, Mehta commended the Indian Prime Minister for fostering a conducive environment for growth. He underscored Amul’s enduring commitment to the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, having actively participated in its longstanding history of events.

Mehta traced Amul’s impactful journey, dating back to its inception in 1946, emphasizing the cooperative’s substantial strides in connecting with numerous villages across the country.

This expansive outreach not only signifies Amul’s extensive network but also underscores its role in uplifting rural communities. The enduring partnership between Amul and Vibrant Gujarat reflects a shared commitment to fostering economic development, agricultural progress, and overall prosperity in the region.

Mehta’s remarks at the summit underscore the pivotal role of India, particularly Gujarat, in the global dairy landscape, positioning the country as a key player in the future of milk production.
