The National Urban Cooperative Finance and Development Corporation (NUCFDC), in collaboration with the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) and with the support of the Telangana Urban Cooperative Banks Federation, organised a workshop in Hyderabad on Monday to strengthen Aadhaar-based digital enablement of Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs).
The programme witnessed participation from around 50 Urban Cooperative Banks from the region, highlighting the growing importance of technology adoption in the cooperative banking sector.
The workshop focused on how Aadhaar authentication can facilitate seamless customer onboarding, strengthen Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes and enable banks to offer secure digital services to their customers.
Participants were also familiarised with the role of authentication tokens, which can help banks effectively utilise authentication responses for more efficient and streamlined service delivery.
The initiative aims to empower Urban Cooperative Banks with secure, inclusive and technology-driven solutions, while supporting their efforts to modernise banking operations and improve customer experience.
The collaboration between NUCFDC, UIDAI and the Telangana Federation marks another step towards accelerating the digital transformation of the urban cooperative banking sector.
