The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) organised a two-day Farmer Orientation Programme for 52 farmers associated with the Indore Milk Union (Sanchi Dairy), focusing on improved dairy management and sustainable milk production.
The programme was conducted by NDDB’s Mansinh Institute of Training in Mehsana, Gujarat. Training sessions covered raw milk quality, hygienic milk production, effective milk chilling and Bulk Milk Cooler (BMC) management, animal health, ration balancing, disease prevention, ethnoveterinary practices and measures to enhance animal productivity.
As part of the programme, participating farmers visited Jaslani Milk Cooperative Society and Banas Dairy in Palanpur, where they interacted with dairy officials and gained practical insights into efficient dairy operations and improved work practices.
Through such knowledge-based initiatives, NDDB is strengthening farmers’ technical capabilities and promoting better productivity, milk quality and sustainable development across the dairy sector.
