Maha Credit Sector Showcased at Kuala Lumpur Conference

An international conference of cooperative credit societies was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from September 7 to 13, 2026, with participation from 570 delegates representing 26 countries.

A delegation from the Maharashtra State Cooperative Credit Societies Federation, led by senior cooperator Kaka Koyte, participated in the conference. The delegation included Federation Director Adv. Anjalitai Patil, CEO Surekha Lawande, Dhanvantari Credit Society Director Dr. Shrikant Fadtare, Sanjay Pawar, Anuj Patil and Rohit Bangar.

The conference provided a platform for delegates to exchange views on cooperative credit laws, operational practices and experiences across different countries.

Maharashtra’s cooperative sector, cooperative laws and the functioning of cooperative credit societies were presented to international participants through a video presentation.

During the International Night, the Maharashtra delegation showcased the state’s cultural heritage through a dance performance featuring a Marathi song, receiving an encouraging response from participants.

The conference enabled the delegation to showcase Maharashtra’s cooperative journey internationally while gaining insights into cooperative practices and experiences from different countries.
