A nine-member media delegation from Arunachal Pradesh, on a press tour of Gujarat, explored the State’s dairy cooperative sector, multimodal education and artistic heritage, media reports say.
At Amul in Anand, the journalists learnt about its 75-year journey from a farmers’ cooperative to a globally recognised dairy brand and visited milk processing, butter and milk powder facilities.
They interacted with Amul MD Amit Vyas and discussed the possibility of setting up an Amul plant in Arunachal Pradesh, focusing on livestock potential and rural livelihoods. The delegation also visited Amul’s chocolate plant at Mogar.
At Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, officials briefed them on logistics, multimodal connectivity, research and innovation. The tour concluded at the IGNCA’s Raja Ravi Varma Art Studio, where Arupa Lahiry highlighted India’s artistic traditions.
