Pune-headquartered Cosmos Co-operative Bank has inaugurated its Small Finance Business Division in Thane, Mumbai, marking a further step towards expanding financial support for individuals and small businesses. The new division is aimed at bringing banking services closer to small entrepreneurs, people in the unorganised sector and financially underserved communities.
The inauguration was carried out by Cosmos Bank Chairman Sachin Apte in the presence of Director Pralhad Kokare, other dignitaries and members of the division’s team. The bank said the initiative would strengthen its efforts to provide accessible financial support and empower individuals and small businesses to pursue growth opportunities.
Cosmos Bank currently operates 193 branches across seven States and 47 major cities. As of March 31, 2026, its total financial set-up stood at Rs 44,000.69 crore, with deposits of Rs 26,121.64 crore and advances of Rs 17,879.05 crore.
