The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) jointly hosted a National Workshop on “Emerging Opportunities in the Dairy & Livestock Sector through Cooperatives” at the NDDB Campus in Anand, Gujarat, on Tuesday.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders to deliberate on the evolving cooperative landscape, technological advancements, circular economy principles and strategies for sustainable growth in the dairy and livestock sector.
NDDB Chairman Meenesh C. Shah addressed participants virtually. The programme also featured insights from Rohit Gupta, DMD, NCDC; Dr Jayen Mehta, MD, GCMMF; S. Rajeev, ED, NDDB; and H.P. Rathod, In-charge MD, SPCDF.
Representatives of prominent milk and poultry unions and federations from across states shared best practices aimed at enhancing cooperative competitiveness and promoting diversification.
The workshop highlighted the joint efforts of NCDC and NDDB to promote innovation, strengthen cooperatives and support a sustainable future for farmers.
