Chhattisgarh Cooperation Minister Kedar Kashyap on Tuesday chaired a review meeting with the chairpersons of the Apex Bank and District Cooperative Banks to discuss measures for strengthening the state’s cooperative banking network and improving services for farmers.

The meeting, held at the Minister’s residence office in Nava Raipur, focused on ensuring transparent, timely and modern banking services for the farming community. Participants also deliberated on expanding digital banking facilities and making cooperative institutions more efficient, responsive and people-centric.

Kashyap stressed the need to strengthen the cooperative sector so that it can play a greater role in supporting rural livelihoods and agricultural development.

He emphasised that improved governance, technology adoption and better service delivery would help enhance farmers’ access to financial services through the cooperative banking system.
