NCUI trains multi state functionaries

NCCE  recently conducted  Leadership Development Training Programme for Chairman / Directors of  Multi-State Cooperative Societies. 35 participants from Assam, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & Nagaland attended the programme. The objective of the programme was to get acquainted with the latest trends in the MSCS, to manage cooperative societies professionally and to provide the participants a platform to interact with their counterparts drawn from all over the country.

Leeladevi R. Prasad former Minister Govt. of Karnataka addressed the programme. In her inaugural address, she stressed the importance of MSCS for various sectors of the cooperative movement. She said Cooperative is important for ameliorating the socio-economic conditions of the poor in society. She  also advocated for  a uniform Act for cooperative societies in the entire country.

N.Satya Narayana, Chief Executive, NCUI in his address on the occasion said members’ concern & their involvement in the working of cooperative societies is important and thus their responsibility gets considerably enhanced. He said cooperative shares need to exceed government shares as well as Multi-State Cooperative Societies 2002 provisions should be effectively implemented.

Several top govt officials  and  MDs from national level organizations attended the event. Dr. A. R. Srinath Deputy Director & Course Coordinator proposed a vote of thanks on the occasion.
