NCUI spruces up for AGMs

dinesh NCUIDelhi is sprucing up for annual general assembly meetings of various national level cooperative federations. NCUI, the apex cooperative body looks like a marriage venue with tents and bamboo sticks spread across the campus.

The Chief Executive of NCUI Dr Dinesh could be spotted clutching a large number of files while retiring for the day. “Our Chairman is in town tomorrow and being busy in AGMs I will only get quality time with him, he told this correspondent pointing towards the bundle of files he was carrying home to work on.

Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, the President of NCUI is also on the board of Kribhco and NAFED. The AGM of these two federations are slated for this week only. There are host of cooperators who arrive a couple of days in advance to get their personal work done.

“Chandra Palji is very busy as a number of people surround him on such occasions. If we do not do our homework and be concise on the issue , we cannot get his signature on the files. I am taking these file to study and make relevant points for the President”, Dr Dinesh told this correspondent.

There are many hangers-on who approach NCUI President for personal reasons. There are some who want to advance their fortune in cooperative, said a leader on condition of anonymity.

NCUI is also holding its AGM on 27th September but majority of leaders are leaving for Bali and thus they are trying to finish off with the necessary arrangements.
