There are a few people living who know Late Laxmanrao Inamdar first hand. And NCUI is banking on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to vet the book before it goes for publishing, said Chief Executive N Satyanarayan who is coordinating with the Ministry on book-writing.
It bears recall that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had great regard for the RSS Pracharak and is believed to have lessons in self-less service during his formative years from Inamdar.
A skilled orator and a great organizer Inamdar learnt his first lessons in cooperative from his joint family. Leading a life of a true cooperator he is credited with founding Sahakar Bharati.
Talking to Indian Cooperative NCUI CE N Satyanarayan said having spent years with late Inamdar PM and a few
more perhaps are the only people who can vouch for the truthfulness of the book. NCUI wishes to present the book in draft form before the PM so that he sifts fiction from substance.
Satish Marathe, Sahakar Bharati patron is another person who had a privilege to work with him and NCUI also seeks to take his views before publication.
The author S K Sharma says he has his work cut out searching for truths from Inamdar’s life. He has read a booklet on the great cooperator prepared by Sahakar Bharati member Vijay Dewangan but he needed more information to put them in book form. “I am trying my best; let us see”, he added.
