NCUI: NCCE trains UCB leaders of nine states

National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of NCUI conducted a Leadership Development Programme for Urban Cooperative Banks of India last week at its headquarters in New Delhi. More than 27 participants from the states of Rajasthan, U.P, Punjab, Bihar, Telangana, Jharkhand, Delhi, Karnataka and Maharashtra participated in this programme.

The programme was aimed at developing their leadership and managerial skills with special focus on cashless digital banking and Cyber Security. UCBs have of let seen spurt in cybercrimes and being small-sized they are not competent enough to fight off single handed.

The participants were provided with a platform to interact among themselves and discussed challenges and issues as well as their solutions for proper functioning of Banks.

The effective communication & Leadership are very important to achieve the targets and providing satisfactory services to the members. Therefore, different subjects were incorporated in the training capsule for the banking sector.

In the inaugural function, Dr. V.K. Dubey, Director, NCCE said Education & Training is a continuous process. He also said the Cooperative Banking sector is playing a very important role in providing loans to the small businessmen and weaker sections to help them start their enterprises. Sh. Yogesh Sharma, Director, NAFCUB was also present on this occasion.

Besides these, deliberations were made by the experts from Govt of India and different renowned institutions like digital banking – cashless transaction, Recovery challenges, Cyber Security- Introduction, Terminology, framework & Management. The participants interacted in each and every session, and brought some suggestions.
