NCUI: NCCE trains members on Cyber Security and Digital Banking

National Centre for Cooperative Education of NCUI and NAFCUB, New Delhi recently conducted a three day Leadership Development Program on Cyber Security and Digital Banking for Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies.

The program was intended to enhance awareness about Digitalization Technology and Cyber Security for Chairmen, Directors and Pesonnel of Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs) and Credit Societies. It was also geared to improving effectiveness of Digital banking techniques and Cyber Security management in Urban Cooperative banks

It is worth mentioning that NCUI is currently focusing on Capacity Building of personnel and leaders so that Banks can work with a competitive edge.

The Program was attended by 28 participants from Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies from the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Chennai.

Guests present were N. Satya Narayan, CE, NCUI, Dr V K Dubey, Director, NCCE, Sh. Yogesh Sharma, NAFCUB and Ms. Sandhya Kapoor, DD, NCCE who gave inspiring speeches for encouraging knowledge and experience sharing by the participants.

Dr. V K. Dubey, Director NCCE during his training session on Value Based Management spoke on developing learning abilities of Cooperative personnel for effective utilization of technology and resources with a strong focus on professionalization of urban cooperative banks and credit societies.

The program had lectures, training sessions and presentations on topics like Digital Banking, Cyber Security Management, Cyber Security practices to prevent frauds in IT, Securitization Acts and Important Prescriptions and Compliance Management by eminent Banking and IT experts .The experts who participated in discussions were.

Girish Kohli, Advocate & Ex- Banker, P &S Bank, P.K. Arora, CGM (Retd.), Reserve Bank of India , Devant Kumar AVP, Srinivas Gudipiudi and Hemant Patel, Trigyn Technologies Ltd., Shiv Chauhan, IT head, PERFIOS and Ms. Nisha Dua, IT expert.

During the program, GH Amin, Vice President NCUI, Kiran Kakati, Gurupratap Singh Khushalpur, Director NCUI discussed the problems and difficulties before the Urban Credit Sector; Amin said he had met the Finance Minister earlier regarding these and Kakati focused on honesty in cooperatives.
