NCUI: Dabas files election petition

Ashok Dabas, the bitten cooperator has filed an election petition challenging the election to the apex cooperative body NCUI held recently in Delhi. Dabas filed the petition with the Central registrar.

“Yes I have filed the petition and have challenged the election which was rigged right from the word go”, Dabas confirmed the news to Indian Cooperative. From the appointment of the election officer to the election of delegates to final election of Directors –all was preplanned, Dabas charged.

He, however did not meet the Central Registrar; rather submitted his petition to the Registry on the ground floor which acts as the record book of the Agriculture and Cooperation Ministry.

Dabas, however refused to share details of his petition and said that let the arbitrator be appointed before I divulge anything to you”.

Earlier, Ashok Dabas belittled Election Officer V P Singh as the personal choice of the outgoing President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav. On the issue of Lakhan Lal Sahu as well Dabas felt he was delisted from the voter list in a pre-planned manner.

His other charges included receipt of cash towards the dues of the defaulting societies to the tune of Rs one lakh which he felt was not correct. Besides, Dabas also felt an advantage of about 10 days was given to the GC members for canvassing, compared to other claimants.

Readers would recall that Dabas who enjoyed NCUI President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav’s patronage earlier had fallen out with him. He could not make it to the Board.
