NCUI collaborates with Israeli Agro companies

National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) is holding a one day Seminar/interactive session in collaboration with leading Israeli Agricultural Project Companies and Experts under the aegis of Trade & Economic Mission of the Embassy of Israel, New Delhi on Friday, 12th February 2016 from 09:30 AM onwards in the Committee Room Alpha, NCUI Auditorium Complex (2nd Floor).

The objective of this event is to showcase the sustainable and commercial agricultural practices, marketing and animal husbandry by the Israeli delegates and explore the possibility of transferring the appropriate practices and technologies particularly in the areas of water conservation, soil management, dairy, value-chain and commercial agricultural on sustainable basis.

The Israel Project Companies is expected to share the know how and the technologies which are relevant to Indian Cooperative working in agriculture domain (organic/traditional), which in turn will provide an opportunity to discuss and take the new way of agriculture of the cooperatives in their area of operation.

This will be a very good opportunity for the farmers of India and other stakeholders in Indian Agriculture and dairy sector to interact with Israeli delegation and look forward for necessary learning and technology transfer, reads a mailer sent from NCUI.

Readers would note that under the auspices of Indo-Israel Agricultural Project (IIAP) agreements for agricultural partnership have been signed and 20 Centres of Excellence in Agriculture have been set up in Haryana, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab where farmers / agriculturists have been deriving increased production /productivity, generating better financial returns on their investment.

NCUI have invited the key officials of IFFCO, KRIBHCO and other agricultural cooperatives who are engaged in agriculture services/extension to participate in the interactive session with the visiting Israel Business Delegation. Besides, representatives from NCDC, National Horticulture Board, SFAC and APEDA.
