NCCE trains IFFCO officials at Kandla and Kalol

IFFCO recently conducted a two day training programme on Cooperation and Cooperative Management for officers at Kalol and Kandla plants in Gujarat. The objective of the programme was to acquaint participants with an understanding of the functions of cooperative organizations, management and their development.

At Kalol, the programme was inaugurated by O P Dayama, JGM Technical (Unit Head), IFFCO Plant. There were about 25 participants who attended the programme. He appreciated the day to day programme and initiative taken by NCUI and NCCE.

Dayama also stressed that the training programme has changed the employees attitude so that they can perform better. M Sriivasan, SM Training and J. V. Shah, Senior Manager Training coordinated the training programme.

At Kandla, the programme was inaugurated by Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, New Delhi. There were 22 participants who attended the programme. He appreciated the initiative taken by DGM Training IFFCO Plant Kandla and briefed about the managerial aspects towards the training programme. B A Shah, DGM (Training), IFFCO, in his address gave details about the programme.

The major points discussed during the programme were as History of Cooperative Movement in India, its contribution to the Indian Economy, Principles, Values, Ideology and Philosophy of Cooperatives , Problems & Challenges before Cooperative Movement in India, Cooperative Management – Special Focus on IFFCO Management and its Structure, Special features of Cooperative Organisation (How Cooperative Organization is different to a Company) ,Salient Features of Multi State Cooperative Act, 2002 and 97th Constitutional Amendments and Recent Changes in Cooperative Law, Marketing Strategies of IFFCO, Fertiliser Policies and Subsidy etc.

As part of the training programme, participants visited Jaithalpur Marketing Cooperative Society at Jaithalpur, Kalol and CORDET and Adani Fort, Mundra and learnt about the accounting & financial system, marketing aspects of the Cooperative Societies. The participants were of the view that the training programmes should be for 03 days so that they could acquire more knowledge on cooperation and cooperative managerial aspects.

The participants also got inputs from the programmes about the latest technologies, responsibilities in the management of cooperative societies & challenges confronting the societies. Dr. V. K. Dubey, Director, NCCE, Dr. A.R. Srinath, Deputy Director, NCCE and senior officials from IFFCO coordinated and conducted the programmes.
