ICA( A-P) : Chandra Pal confident of PM’s presence

Chandra Pal Singh Yadav, President of National Cooperative Union of India is confident that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the ICA A-P General Assembly scheduled in November 2016 in N Delhi.

”I have talked to Union Agiculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh who has assured me that PM would indeed inaugurate the mega cooperative show,” said Yadav to Indian Cooperative in an exclusive interview.

”In fact Singh has already talked to the PM who has agreed in principle to inaugurate the show. Radha Mohanji even shared with me that Modiji is quite happy to know that we are hosting an International event in India,” said NCUI President to this correspondent.

Later admiring union minister Radha Mohan, NCUI President said that” very few cooperation ministers in the past have been as supportive as him. He had some misunderstanding in the beginning but with the passage of time and experience we were able to convince him of the purity of our purpose,” he added.

Reader would recall that at the behest of the NCUI Union Agriculture Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has written a letter to Union HRD Minister Smriti Irani for including ”cooperative” as a subject in the courses of schools and colleges.

Eulogizing the cooperative movement of the country the Agriculture Minister wrote” India’s cooperative movement is the largest in the world as there are 10 lakh cooperative societies with 26 crore members.”

“My suggestion is to make cooperatives stronger, engaging the youth in this sector by providing them brief knowledge of cooperatives in colleges and schools. The national cooperative union of India and its arm NCCT should ask colleges and schools to start cooperative related chapter in their syllabuses”, Radha Mohan urged.
