Corona: NCUI Prez lauds co-op role so far, appeals for more action

Lauding the role being played by cooperatives across the country in fighting the scourge of CoronaVirus so far, NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav exhorts people not to rest till the battle is won.

Sharing a message through video, the apex body of cooperatives- NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav has urged all the cooperatives located in urban as well rural areas to support the fight against coronavirus.

In the 2 minute 18 second video message, Yadav said, cooperatives across the country should help the needy with food, money and with other means of support in order to help the centre fight against the coronavirus.

National Level cooperatives including IFFCO, Kribhco, Nafed and several cooperative institutions have contributed funds in the PM Cares Fund”, he added.

Yadav further said, ” I came to know that employees of different cooperatives are also contributing their one day’s salary to the PM Cares fund which is commendable.

NCUI has also proposed to give its 48 room hostel for conversion into isolation wards for the affected people and we will provide every facility”, he asserted.

“I request all cooperative leaders across the country to come together to fight the coronavirus pandemic”, he said while concluding his message.
