Share of Co-operative in new Cabinet

??????????Cooperative sector had its share in the latest Cabinet expansion effected by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. Some of the newly appointed Ministers are said to be sympathetic to the movement.

The first name that enthused the cooperative sector is Mr Suresh Prabhu who took oath as a Cabinet Minister on Sunday. This was best represented by the IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi who greeted Mr Prabhu by resorting to twitter.

Dr Awasthi said” Congratulations to Suresh Prabhu for taking oath as a Cabinet Minister. He is a competent, honest, able , knowledgeable politician. God bless him.”

Prabhu has been participating in the cooperative seminars quite frequently- be its IFFCO’s function or NCUI’s invitation. His commitment to the cooperative movement is beyond doubt, commented a cooperator to this correspondent.

Another name is that of Giriraj Singh from Bihar who is being touted to take over as Minister of State for Agriculture. Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh who is said to enjoy a long-lasting relationship with Mr Singh was gaga over latter’s appointment.

Talking to Indian Cooperative Mr Sunil Singh said that there are a few politicians who know cooperative as well as Girirajji knows. His appointment is a shot in the arm of the movement, he added.
