PM greets Radha Mohan on B’day

Radha Mohan Singh Few would disagree that importance of cooperation minister in the eyes of Prime Minister is always good news for the cooperative movement. So is the case with the present Union Minister of Agriculture and Cooperation Radha Mohan Singh.

The Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi who is on his epoch-making trip to Japan, nevertheless, found time to greet the Cooperation Minister on his birthday which was on Monday.

A visibly moved Singh soon turned to Face book and wrote “Modiji has greeted me on my birth day.” Modi is no doubt busy signing mutual pacts and important MoUs with the Japanese govt. Extricating himself from such grueling schedule and talking to Singh on phone is no mean feat, indeed.

The situation is much different from UPA in which the Minister Sharad Pawar belonged to a different party and there was a constant undercurrent of disagreement with the Congress. On several occasion Pawar complained of being sidelined on important issues.

In contrast, Radha Mohan Singh enjoys the confidence of the Prime Minister and if he is “advised well”, he could do several things for the cooperative movement both at policy and implementation levels.
