While union Agriculture Minister Mr Singh practiced yoga with followers in Motihari on Sunday, Chairman of Chattisgarh State Cooperative Bank Mr Ashok Bajaj organized a huge gathering of banks’ officials at the Pandari campus of the bank.

Singh on the occasion of first ‘International Yoga Day’ said that ‘Yoga is India’s gift to the World’. Yoga is overall a technique of connecting mind, intellect, body, and spirit, he added.

Early in the morning on Sunday IFFCO MD reminded his followers to do Yoga and inspired them by tweeting “#IFFCO wishes good health 2all on first #International Day of Yoga I have been practicing yoga for last 40 yrs with immense benefits.”

One of Awasthi’s followers echoed him by replying “ @drusawasthi Your kind message is very motivational. Every employee of IFFCO must start practicing Yoga from today for a healthier living.”

Aagin, RNSB and Vijay Commercial Co-Op. Bank celebrated the International Day of Yoga in traditional manner. A large congregation of members of both the Banks attended the 90 minute marathon session to exercise various yoga aasans and mudras at Rajkot Nagarik Sahakari Bank, Head Office. Jyotindra Mehta, the Chairman of Rajkot Nagrik Sahkari Bank and Government nominee in the NCUI Board was the prime mover behind this show.

Indian Cooperative has no information about other cooperators joining Yoga on this day but that does not mean they did not follow the proud tradition.
