FAI: Kribhco adjudged best producer of bio-fertilizer

At the FAI function Union Minister Ananth Kumar presented the prestigious Fertilizer Association of India Award to KRIBHCO for their commendable performance in production of organic fertilizer, on the occasion.

“We got first prize in the production of bio-fertilizer at FAI in Delhi”, said Sanjay Singh DGM, Kribhco in response to Indian Cooperative query.

“KRIBHCO is marketing about 42.58 lakh metric tonnes of urea from its Hazira Plant, KSFL and overseas venture OMIFCO, Oman. KRIBHCO organizes seminars, workshops and awareness camps to educate farmers of the country”, a mail sent by Kribhco read.

Along with IFFCO, Kribhco helps govt achieve its annual urea target in the country. These two cooperatives virtually lord over the fertilizer sector in the country- a matter of utmost satisfaction for those who believe in the success of the co-op model.

Speaking on the occasion Minister said “the Government of India has taken a number of policy initiatives to develop Indian Fertilizer Industry into one of the fastest growing industries in India”.

FAI’s 52nd annual seminar was held in Delhi at Aerocity.

Readers would recall that IFFCO’s several units and subsidiaries have also bagged many FAI awards in different categories ranging from safety to marketing to artistic video films.

Union Minister of State for Chemical and Fertilizer Mansukh Mandaviya, FAI Chairman, Rakesh Kapur, Director General Satish Chandra and others were present on the occasion.

FAI is a representative body of the Fertilizer Industry. The FAI Annual Seminar is an important event in the international calendar attracting delegates in large numbers from India and abroad. This seminar was accompanied by an exhibition where 45 companies displayed their products and services.
