Being economical: KRIBHCO bags National Award

Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (KRIBHCO), one of the two leading fertilizer cooperatives of the country has won the First Prize under the Category of Private-Manufacturing: Organization-Large” in the “13th National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2015.

Kribhco is also billed as one of the front-ranking seed and bio-fertilizer producing Cooperative.

The National Award for Excellence in Cost Management which is an initiative by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India has been recognizing the importance of cost management in the highly competitive environment.

“This award has pushed Kribhco to outperform its own achievements by innovating and creating new landmarks in the field of cost management, read a press release.

Last year also Kribhco was awarded the first prize in the same category. Kribhco is rigorously working towards augmenting efficiency and enhancing corporate competitiveness by inculcating cost management as a part of our work culture thereby fulfilling the objectives of sustainable and inclusive growth” read a press release mailed by the cooperative behemoth.

The award was received by Rajan Chowdhry, Finance Director and G.P.Rao, GM(F&A), Plant from  Shri Najib Shah, IRS, Chairman, Central Board of Excise and Customs, Govt. of India at a function held at Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi  on 28th May,2016.

The jury for the award was headed by Former Chief Justice of India, Sh. V.N. Khare and consisted eminent personalities in various fields of economy & Industry.

The release was prepared and mailed by the young and energetic marketing DGM Sanjay Kumar Singh as the media cell of the cooperative giant is known for being not keeping pace with the time. On social media it has negligible presence and with traditional media it hardly has any communications.

Strangely though its high-profile Chairman Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav is credited with answering all the calls on his mobile set from media, he has failed to enthuse its media wing so far.
