UP CM joins IFFCO neem plantation campaign

It was the turn of dynamic Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to lend support to the IFFCO’s idea of plantation. And the young CM did so by participating in the IFFCO neem plantation campaign by planting a tree in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Later on, addressing a gathering of farmers and cooperators, he lauded the efforts of IFFCO in taking ahead the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of promoting Neem and Neem coated urea among the farmers.

Chief Minister Yogi shared the news through social media and wrote, “Today, planted tree in Kushmi forest in Gorakhpur District. On the occasion of Independence Day we have completed the target to plant nine crore trees. I congratulate all the related departments and the people of the state for their active participation”, he wrote this in Hindi which we have translated for the readers’ convenience.

The State Cooperative Minister Mukut Bihari Verma was also present on the occasion. The minister wrote on social media, “Tomorrow participated in the plantation programme organized by the cooperative department along with Honorable Yogi Adityanath Ji, in Gorakhpur.

Sharing the details of the event, IFFCO MD Dr U S Awathi wrote, “Glad to share that #IFFCO’s #PlantANeem Program got a boost as Hon’ble CM Of Uttar Pradesh, yogiadityanath participated in #neem plantation program by planting a tree in #gorakhpur. It’s an inspiration in the state to join this noble cause.”

Awasthi’s tweet also quoted Yogi saying IFFCO’s efforts are taking ahead Prime Minister’s vision of promoting neem and neem coated urea. Besides Minister, IFFCO Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar, IFFCO Officials and others were present on the occasion.

It is worth mentioning that several CMs and ministers across the country have participated in the IFFCO Tree Plantation Campaign. IFFCO has been active in tree-plantation for a long time with its Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi urging upon everyone to plant at least one tree to underline their commitment to upholding the idea of ecological balance in the world.
