Indian Cooperative knew it all along but shrank from giving the whole story realizing the emotional implications it could have for IFFCO MD’s fans. Now MD himself has expressed that the eye-surgery was not that minor; rather it was a molecular hole in the retina which, to the relief of thousands of his followers has healed in an unprecedented manner.
A relieved Dr. U S Awasthi tweeted on Wednesday “ Want 2share with all according 2#Dr Arvinder Gupta who performed #Eye Surgery for filling #macular hole I have got unprecedented recovery.”
And soon sighs and expressions of relief from his fans began pouring in thanking God endlessly. One of them tweeted “@drusawasthi Respected sir, As superpower God knows that u r very kind for all, so it was all unprecedented &exceptional. we all are blessed.”
One of the senior directors of IFFCO has informed Indian Cooperative earlier that Dr Awasthi does not wish to create panic among his followers and thus is constantly underplaying it. But the sheer post-ops care in which he had to lie down for a number of days with heads pointing downwards, explained the seriousness of the medical intervention.
But his recovery is unprecedented , he informed Indian Cooperative in the wake of Arvind Gupta’s report. Barring a few days when it was an absolute must for him to take rest Dr Awasthi has been active in the affairs of the cooperative behemoth, he added.
