Singh inaugurates IFFCO Function in Motihari

Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh last week inaugurated the function “Jai Kisan-Jai Vigyan” organized by the farmers’ cooperative giant Indian Farmers Fertilizer cooperative (IFFCO) in Motihari, Bihar.

Inaugurating the nationwide “Jai Kisan-Jai Vigyan” programme to mark the birth anniversaries of two former prime ministers Chaudhary Charan Singh and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Singh said while Chaudhary Charan Singh had played an important role in the development of agriculture, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s revolutionary outlook in solving the issues related to irrigation system with scientific devices is helping farmers today.

On the occasion, IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi Tweeted “Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh inaugurated the Programme “Jai Kisan-Jai Vigyan” organized by IFFCO in Motihari, Bihar.

Singh Further said the Narendra Modi government is committed to equipping the agricultural sector with modern techniques so that agricultural land becomes more fertile and the yield per acre increases. The plan is aimed at covering the entire country,” Singh said.

The programme was attended by a large number of farmers and agriculture scientists.

Highlighting the importance of the “Atal Bihari Vajpayee Mission”, Singh said it will create employment through socio- economic changes providing better opportunities for innovation-based enterprises, particularly those related to the young and educated farmers.

Since long, IFFCO has continuously been working for the welfare of farmers to make them strong and improve their standard of living. Such programme are aimed at ensuring welfare for farmers, said one of the IFFCO officials present on the occasion. Joint GM Yogendra Kumar led the IFFCO team on the occasion.
