Sanghani-Awasthi duo assures Shah of achieving PM’s Vision

Addressing the participants on the occasion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of IFFCO Nano DAP at Kandla, Gujarat, IFFCO Chairman Dileepbhai Sanghani said that the new Nano range of products of IFFCO would bring about a revolution in the agriculture sector in the country.

Speaking further Sanghani said that the Government of India has helped a lot in the success of IFFCO and I extend my most sincere thanks to our beloved Prime Minister, the Union Home and Cooperative Minister and many other ministers for their support.

“The arrival of Honorable Amit Shah as the first cooperation minister, has brought about many new reforms in the cooperative sector and many long pending demands of this sector have also been fulfilled. The co-ops play an important role in the prosperity of the country”, he remarked. .

In his remarks, IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi said that the new innovation would certainly reduce the cost of farming for farmers.

“The IFFCO Nano DAP will not only help in increasing the quality of productivity of farmers but also be friendly to the environment. Besides, the price of one bottle of Nano liquid DAP (Di-Ammonium Phosphate) is much less in comparison to conventional granular DAP. The proposed plant capacity is 30 lakh ton per year equivalent to DAP”, Dr Awasthi added.

Reminiscing Awasthi said’ when IFFCO put its footprint at Kandla sometime in 1973, there was no green tree in its surrounding but now you can see green trees everywhere and in this, IFFCO played an important role. We have done many new things here with an objective to increase the income of farmers as well as to save the environment”, he averred.

“The IFFCO Nano will save the foreign exchange as well as save soil health. Recently, we have given the order for procuring 2500 drones and giving training to 5000 rural entrepreneurs for educating farmers. We have decided to contribute to expenses incurred by farmers on spraying the Nano range of products in their fields”, said the IFFCO MD.

He said, “IFFCO will make an effort in fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in making India Self-reliant as well as achieving Prosperity through Co-ops.

Awasthi also extended thanks to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah for laying the foundation stone on behalf of 35,500 cooperative societies associated with IFFCO and 4 crore farmers connected with IFFCO.
