IFFCO is celebrating 9th Inter Unit Cultural Festival 2015 beginning Thursday in Gurgaon. Mr Balvinder Singh Nakai, the chairman of cooperative behemoth is scheduled to inaugurate the function in which all the five units of IFFCO along with marketing team and the headquarters teams are competing.
Talking to Indian Cooperative, Media Head Mr Harshendra Verdhan said that earlier the IUCF used to happen at the interval of four years but its growing popularity and enthusiasm among the participants forced us to do it at the interval of two years.
“You will have to see this to believe as the level of performance is so high that audience remains spell bound through and through ”, an excited Harsha shared. “Different units prepare themselves professionally and some of them even invite bollywood trainers a month in advance to be number one. Such keen is the contest”, added Harsh.
The eight days function will have prize distribution on 4th by when all the team would have presented their show. IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi would be present on the occasion of closing ceremony and distribute prizes to the winners.
Another noteworthy thing about the function is that IFFCO sponsors the education of winners and there are cases when girls have completed engineering and MBAs and have landed in quality jobs with MNCs. Such girls have written very emotional piece to our MD who is the architect of this idea, said Harshendra Verdhan.
“It gives us a respite from the hum-drum of factory life. Since the families from different units come it is a time of bonding. Participants leave feeling proud of belonging to the Brand IFFCO, said a participant from Phulpur unit.
