Kamayani Auditorium to host IFFCO Award function on Sunday

Well-known Litterateur Shri Ashta Bhuja Shukla is going to be awarded Shri Lal Shukla Smiriti IFFCO Sahitya Samman Award for the year 2015 this Sunday in Kamani auditorium in New Delhi. He is the fifth recipient of the award.

The award was instituted by the fertilizer cooperative giant IFFCO in the memory of the great Hindi novelist and writer Shri Lal Shukla in the year 2011. Shri Lal Shukla’s literary creations such as Rag Darbari and some of his other works have received national acclaim.

Ashta Bhuja Shukla has several novels to his credit including “Chait ke Badal”, “Pad Kupad”, “Duh swapan bhi aten hai” , “Ise hava me apne bhi do char sans hain”, etc.

Shri Lal Shukla Smiriti Iffco Sahitya Samman Award offers by far the highest amount of Rs 11 lakhs in the field of literature.

Earlier, the award has been bagged by the likes of Shri Vidyasagar Nautial, Shri Shekhar Joshi, Shri Sanjeev and Shri Mithileswar.
