IKSL bags CSI Excellence award

WOMEN USING PHIFFCO’s arm IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited (IKSL) famed globally for making IT accessible to the have-nots in the remotest part of the country has yet gain hogged headlines by winning CSI Award for Excellence in the category ‘Telecom, IT and ITES.

A professional body of more than one lakh experts CSI Awards was instituted to acknowledge and motivate individuals and organizations working in private & public sector. The jury consists of likes of Prof. D. B. Phatak, recipient of the Padma Shri Award and Mr. S. Mahalingam ,Former CFO, TCS.

A jubilant Managing Director of cooperative giant IFFCO, Dr U S Awasthi tweeted to greet the IKSL team “Congrats to #IKSL for winning CSI Award for Excellence in the category ‘Telecom, IT and ITES’ @dorai51,Sudhakar & team. Good Job Keep It Up.”

Only recently IKSL was honored with ‘Economic Times Telecom Aaward – 2014’. IKSL list of achievement could be matter of envy as this cooperative outfit has made changes in the lives of people in true sense of the word.

Earlier, USA President Mr. Barack Obama, appreciated the Mobile-Phone based initiatives of IKSL. It joined hands with Andhra Bank to provide latest technical information on agriculture and allied activities to the farmers of Andhra Pradesh. The fisheries project in Odisha has given high importance to empowering Women’s SHG members and sought help of IKSL.

Coming to CSI Awards its website claims that it is in its fifth year and is being rated as India’s largest and most coveted recognition that stands as the epitome of credentials for great contribution in Information Technology. These are the most prestigious badges of honour in the business of technology.
