IFFCO’s Jordon Project achieves 100% production

It is less than a year that the cooperative giant IFFCO’s Jordan project had gone operational bringing smiles on the face of stake-holders. On Friday last week a Jubilant MD Dr U S Awasthi shared the good news that the plant has achieved 100% production- a feat by any standard indeed!

Dr Awasthi tweeted “ Happy 2 know more than 100% prod. in #JIFCO, #Jordan. let us make this a habit. kudos 2 d team: #AMajali, #SAshkar, #CPSrivastava & #Rafat”.

Jordon Project has been smooth since its very start as in less than a month of its commissioning it achieved highest production. And it never looked back achieving 100 percent efficiency in the second week of July, 2015 close to eight months .

IFFCO and Jordan Phosphates Mines Company Ltd (JPMC) had formed a limited liability Joint Venture Company namely Jordan India Fertilizer Company (JIFCO) in 2008 in Amman. The project is worth $860 million.

The partner of IFFCO Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) owns and operates a large number of phosphate mines in Jordan. Dr Awasthi was present in Jordan when the project was successful commissioned last year in December.
