IFFCO ventures into era of mob apps

IFFCO which is always ahead in matter of technological breakthroughs has now come up with a mobile apps which knits the entire IFFCO employees numbering close to 5500 into one group. Developed in house IFFCO has turned a new leaf by venturing out successfully into the era of mobile apps, commented experts.

The man who restlessly goads his team to adopt cutting edge technologies Dr U S Awasthi tweeted his happiness “Today we launched #IFFCO’s first in-house developed Mobile #App #IFFCOAPP.  New era of mobile technology. Congrats @mrpatel1954 & team.”

M R Patel , Director of IT services and the one who has overseen the culmination of this app said this would enable us to connect to each other at IFFCO without the botheration of remembering one’s  phone number or e-mail address. “Even when you are not with a laptop or at a desktop you can still find out all the details through your smart phone with the help to this app”, Patel underlined.

Patel who is respected in IFFCO for being revolutionary in thought and action is also seen as a trouble shooter whom the MD had deputed earlier to wriggle out of crisis-situations arising out of stagnation first in Paradeep and later in Kandla Unit.

“Our next target is to have the apps for IFFCO’s work flow”, added Patel. “In this we would aim to have everything from leave application to leave sanction to different stages of work under one app”, he stated.

The present App was developed using Oracle technology which enables speedy finalization of mobApps. It also operates simultaneously in all the platforms- Android, Window or ios. Patel informs that a team of four people has developed it in house.

“We are shortly going to focus on making a mobile app for the cooperatives societies as cooperative profiling is always sought out by the corporate sector when it wishes to deal with the former, informed Patel.

An app that gives a precise idea about the cooperative societies and their status is something even government of India has been chasing. Recently NCUI deployed an IIT alumnus Badrul Hasan to do the job.
