IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi and Joint MD Mr Rakesh Kapoor , both of them being on the Board of fertilizer cooperative’s insurance arm IFFCO-Tokio welcomed their Japanese counterparts on Thursday on their visit to India.
Dr US Awasthi, MD and CEO of IFFCO welcomed the two Japanese corporate stalwarts Tsuyoshi Nagano and Tadaharu Uehara as expressed by his tweet “ Welcoming Tsuyoshi Nagano, Pres. & CEO & Tadaharu Uehara MEO @tokiomarine_cor to @IFFCO_PR HQ @iffcotokio.”
The top guns from both the sides discussed issues like enhancing farmer’s wealth by launching various Insurance channels. They also focused on how to educate farmers on the importance of insurance in their lives, an issue close to the heart of Prime Minister Narendra Modi also.
Tweeting on the issue Dr. U S Awasthi said “ We also discussed abt enhancement of farmer’s #wealth by way of various Insurance channels. Educating them for importance of being #insured.”
IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance was incorporated on 4th December 2000 and is a joint venture between the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-operative (IFFCO) and its associates and Tokio Marine and Nichido Fire Group which is also the largest listed insurance group in Japan.
