IFFCO team visits prosperous state of Punjab

Dr U S Awasthi and his team who visited Amritsar last week in the ‘Farmers’ Connect Campaign’ met hundreds of farmers of Punjab and explained to them the latest farming techniques and unfolding market know-hows.

An agriculturally developed state, farmers of Punjab heard the MD with rapt attention. Among other things, Dr Awasthi described in detail about the Iffco’s latest digital venture- IFFCO Bajar.

It was Awasthi’s 96th destination where he was joined in by the Chairman of the cooperative B S Nakai who could not attend the last Board meeting owing to his ill-health. He looked as fit as a fiddle during the Amritsar meeting.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of IFFCO, the team led by both Chairman and MD also paid a visit to Golden Temple and made a donation of Rs 50 lakh. “A humble donation of Rs 50 lakh to Harmindar Sahebji from IFFCO”, tweeted MD in Hindi.

He also tweeted to inform that “along with the Chairman Balwinder Nakai we prayed for the growth and prosperity of farmers, cooperators and for the country.”

The other activities usually seen during the Farmers’ connect campaign such as organizing agricultural exhibition, setting up health camp for farmers and encouraging local artists were very much in evidence.

MD also met each and every farmers one on one who had turned up on the occasion. He also coached them on the benefits of cashless and digital transactions.
