IFFCO showcases farmers in Noida

On the occasion of 70th Independence Day Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) organized a two day event to express its respect to the farmers of the country with the title #Hamara Kisan in Great India Place mall, Noida on Sunday.

Informing about the event IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi tweeted “Large number of people are visiting #IFFCO #HamaraKisan set-up at #GIPMall #Noida to show respect for #farmers”.

Awasthi in a series of tweets exhorted people to respect farmers who sweat in the fields so that we have food-stuff in our plates. One of his tweets read “Let’s together show a sense of gratitude & respect to our #farmers. #HamaraKisan.”

Talking to Indian Cooperative correspondent IFFCO’s Public Relations head Harshendra Singh Verdhan said the objective of the event is to offer various images of Rural India in urban space. Visitors to the event are inspired into discussing farmers and their issues.

Sharing the information about the event, Harsh said ” we are showing videos on rural India and providing information on agriculture. More than 180 peoples clicked their Selfies and uploaded them on facebook and twitter with hash tag #HamaraKisan, he added.

IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi had suggested the title of the event #HamaraKisan, added Harsh. It was the first event of this kind organized by IFFCO and we would soon repeat it in other states as well, he informed.

Indian Cooperative has learnt that a large number of people including small kids are getting drawn to the event. One of the visitors was heard talk with his friends about “Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise of making all efforts for doubling the income of Indian farmers.

IFFCO distributed T-Shirts to participants on the occasion. Radio Mirchi shared information about the event with its listeners. IFFCO PR team’s other members including Mayank Parihar and Ankur Awasthi could be seen managing the event successfully. The venue of the event had an idyllic setting of a village.
