Calling IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi as a man wedded to the cooperative causes an emotional Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Singh said few could match his commitment in cooperative matters. .
Sunil was talking about his inviting Dr Awasthi to attend the cooperative conference scheduled later this month in Patna. He was overwhelmed by the MD’s positive response.
“I phoned him and requested him to be part of the show. Awasthiji said he would be out of the country at that time but wished me good luck and expressed words of encouragement. He also promised to depute two senior IFFCO officials from Delhi to attend the function”, said the Chairman.
“Later he followed this up with a letter detailing the names of officials going to attend the show. One of them is Mr Yogendra Kumar”, added Sunil.
An emotionally charged Singh went on to say “Awasthiji is the best MD in India who has single-handedly made
“Tell me how many MDs can claim that Prime Minister and President of India know them by name. And here is a MD of a cooperative entity who stands proud and great with the high and mighty of the land”, Sunil sounded lyrical.
“Despite a huge subsidy backlog IFFCO is marching ahead and it speaks to his competence. How many MDs of even corporate world could match him”, Sunil Singh asked.
