Iffco Kisan Sanchar comes to govt aid

The government of India is planning to establish a wide network of call centers across the country to provide farmers with relevant information and advice about farming and allied activities.

The IFFCO Kisan Sanchar Limited has agreed to help the govt with its invaluable experiences in reorganizing this ring of information centers based on the latest concepts.

The revamped KCCs will offer detailed information covering the whole gamut of agricultural operations.

The growing popularity of the existing call centers has been one of the reasons responsible for the govt’s fresh initiative to reorganize and expand KCCs.

A recent survey has revealed that majority of farmers find IKSL extremely useful as they obtain information that helps them solve their practical problems.

Readers may recall that American President Barack Obama also had words of praise for IKSL when he visited it during his sojourn to India.
