IFFCO greets AP on getting Amrawati

IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi has congratulated the people of Andhra Pradesh on getting Amravati as their new capital city. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently laid the foundation stone for the city.

Dr. U S Awasthi tweeted” IFFCO Congratulates people of #Andhra Pradesh for getting a new capital #Amaravati. Best wishes to emerge as world class futuristic city.”

The capital city is a dream project of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, whose TDP-BJP government was swept to power in the state elections last year. The state Assembly building will come up exactly at the place where the PM has laid the foundation stone.

The Prime Minister had brought earth from Parliament and water from Yamuna to Amaravti meaning thereby that Delhi would support AP in all its efforts in the construction of Amaravati.

Spread over 54,000 acres, the new capital city will be built on the latest concept of city development with the government of Singapore helping with the master plan.

Located between Vijayawada and Guntur, Amravati is being designed with the help of the government of Singapore and aspires to be a world class sustainable, smart city.

The first phase of construction of the capital is expected to finish over the period of next three years, just ahead of the general elections in 2019.

Replying to MD’s tweet one of his followers said “ #Amaravathi soon to become pride of Andhra Pradesh. Big plan for city to be developed on Singapore model.” Another said “ @drusawasthi Sir we hope farmers of #AndhraPradesh will get all benefit 4 agriculture & Marketing in #Amaravati. Best wishes,Congratulations.”
