IFFCO Directors active in fields

Several Directors of farmers’ cooperative IFFCO are active in their areas to strengthen the campaign aimed at saving the soil and increasing its productivity. Some of them whose Face Book accounts are filled with agri-activities include Prem Chand Munshi and Pramod Kumar Singh.

Prem Chand Munshi, IFFCO Director from Bihar who won last year in a tough fight is trying to make most of his remaining tenure by involving himself in activities close to the heart of IFFCO philosophy.

Munshi organized a seminar in the Musari Gharari, an area in Samastipur in the northern Bihar. He called it “ Mridda(Soil ) jirnnodhhar evam Phasal Utpadakta Vichar Sangosthi- a programme organized by IFFCO which was aimed at rejuvenation of soil and raising its productivity.

Besides farmers in large number, the Bihar state Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary also participated. Local authorities including District Magistrate Sri M.Ramchandradudu. and the chairman of District Central Co-op Bank Ram Udgar Chaudhary were also present.

Speaking on the occasion Munshi said that excessive use of urea is playing havoc with the health of soil and there is an urgent need to resort to bio-fertilizer.

In another function IFFCO Director from Uttrakhand and the new GC member of NCUI Pramod Kumar Singh was organizing what is known he called Iffco fasal goshthi (IFFCO crop seminar).

The seminar was organized at village Bhawan situated in Tehri Garhwal with the Block Pramukh kunwar Singh, Director DCB Devi Singh Chauhan, farmers along with staffs and scientists of IFFCO.
