IFFCO also launches neem-coated urea

aonla unitThe largest fertilizer cooperative IFFCO has also begun to manufacture neem coated urea which is said to be more efficient than the traditional one. Its Anola unit located near Barielly in Uttar Pradesh has produced the first batch of such urea a couple of days ago.

Referring to the development IFFCO Managing Director Dr US Awasthi has congratulated the team as well as cautioned the farmers to use it sparingly as the production of neem-coated urea is presently in slow pace.

On this occasion managing director of IFFCO, Dr. U.S. Awasthi Tweeted“Congratulations to #IFFCO Aonla2 for dispatching first rake of neem coated #urea. This is slow release hence farmers need to apply less.

Earlier, another fertilizer company again in the cooperative sector Kribhco has launched the neem coated urea in a grand function in Banglore which was attended by two Union Ministers Union agriculture minister Shri Radha Mohan Singh and union fertilizer minister Shri Ananth Kumar.

Neem coated urea is a true Make in India product as it is eco-friendly, cost effective and has efficiency advantages. Neem plant a friend of farmers since ancient time, is widely grown all over India and its commercial use is well known from Vedic period over 4000 years.

The development has once again shown the might of cooperatives vis a vis corporate, chuckled a cooperative leader to the Indian Cooperative.
