IFFCO AGM: MD visits NCUI to assess preparations

The NCUI headquarters in Delhi on Siri Fort Road has turned into a fortress on the occasion of the IFFCO Annual General Meeting. IFFCO MD Dr U S Awasthi paid a visit to NCUI Tuesday evening to take stock of the state of the preparations for the event.

“You can wait for me as I along with the Cooperative Director A K Singh are coming to NCUI”, said Tarun Bhargava to this correspondent when he asked for a meeting to discuss the pre-AGM preparations. “Our MD would also be at NCUI before 6 pm in the evening”, Bharagava added.

Each and every corner of the NCUI campus is being utilized for some activity or other of IFFCO’. NCUI has 3.8 acres of land in a prime location and every inch of it is being utilized. If the area around the Auditorium has been converted into kitchen, the open space before the office has been converted into a huge hall ready to showcase various activities of the cooperative titan.

The space before the NCUI Hostel is being spruced up to serve as a dinning space.

The Auditorium has been rearranged with chairs and air conditioners. The placard announcing the AGM has already been put in place at the dais board.

More than 900 delegates representing close to 36 thousand cooperative societies are going to participate. They would come from all the states of the country.

IFFCO would again this year give a dividend of 20 per cent to its delegates. The practice of giving 5 gram of gold coin would also continue.
