Dharamsala: IFFCO MD listens to farmers

Dharamsala is the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh was the 76th destination covered by IFFCO Managing Director Dr U S Awasthi during his farmers connect campaign. He utilized the opportunity to get feedback from farmers about cooperatives and their diverse activities.

Dharamsala is a city in Himachal Pradesh which is surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas. This hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. He congratulated the farmers and cooperators of the state on becoming part of this event. A large number of farmers listened to Dr Awasthi’s speech with rapt attention on the occasion.

Sharing the information through Social Media IFFCO MD tweeted “On the occasion of IFFCO Golden Jubilee I thanked farmers and cooperators of the state for participating in Dharamsala conference”.

He also felicitated cooperators as well as women cooperators of the state.

Earlier, Dr Awasthi was in Portblair, meeting farmers and trying to get acquainted with their problems. Addressing them, Dr Awasthi said IFFCO belongs to farmers and the cooperative is committed to upholding their interests. He urged women to participate in cooperative activities.

IFFCO also organized a free health checkup camp in Portblair in association with Gramin Health and Awasthi called for digitalization of the farming community.
