IFFCO plans further investment in its unit as is obvious from MD’s tweet. Readers would be aware that IFFCO earned name in country after acquiring an ailing private limited company to the cooperative sector and made total turn around and made it profit making unit year after year. It proved that prosperity could be possible if the efforts are sincere, say industry experts.
A tweet by Awasthi also echoes “ #IFFCO converted this ruined private phosphatic Fert facility to world class. With top management, union & association.” 
Paradeep unit has achieved records in the fields of production, energy conservation, environment management and succeeded gaining several awards. Even in the current year Fertilizer Association of India FAI recently bestowed it with two awards –one for the Best Performance for 3 consecutive years and second for the Best Environment Protection Award for a NP/NPK Complex Fertiliser Plant.
Some of the expansion plans include expansion of sulphuric acid plant and single super phosphate plant including some developmental works like construction of plant site roads, raising height of drains from floor level, horticulture and plantation activities and improving the sprinkler system in conveyers, said an official of IFFCO.
While in Paradeep MD also encouraged the sports team by participating in the tournament as expressed in his tweet “ Along with inter unit participants of #crivalley tournament congratulations to #Paradip for winning the trophy.”
